Building Stories

Architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu, Maio and Ricardo Bak Gordon have architecture as a common ground but have their very own expression that is thought and built over it.  Their individual and unique approach reflects the singularity of their work but a paradox when planning one single exhibition. Authorship is the motto. We want to emphasize the dimension of the exhibition space as if it was a piece of land, a landscape or an industrial contemporary ruin where we want to build in and work on the paradox of dwelling together with the diversity of the three story-tellers.  We propose three site specific self-exhibitions in a single space of 2000 sqm where the three different stories are told and thus make a one single story. The exhibition will be an installation, a building where you can look through and walk around as if it was an art piece, or just a building that sits alone in a huge space. The exhibition will challenge the visitor to perceive life and architecture through the work of the three different characters, three personalities. It will also show the many similarities you find between these stories when we talk about architecture.
