Together, Reininghaus.
Starting in October 2026, a permanent exhibition on the history and development of the Reininghaus neighborhood will take shape at the neighborhood office in the Tennenmälzerei.
Since 2018, a new neighborhood has been taking shape on the site of the former Reininghaus brewery: Construction—rather than brewing—will continue here well into the 2030s.
Amid the newly built neighborhoods and the extended tram line 4, a few scattered, historically protected buildings serve as reminders of the site’s industrial past. They may pique the curiosity of newcomers or evoke memories among locals: What used to be here? How do we experience Reininghaus today? Or what will be here in 2040? And which events from the brewery’s history and the neighborhood’s development will remain in people’s memories in the future? “Gemeinsam Reininghaus” is growing alongside the neighborhood and aims to be a permanent hub for people who want to learn about it or engage with it. In the participatory exhibition at the neighborhood office in the Tennenmälzerei, the history and stories of Reininghaus are presented and collected together with the community across three narrative platforms. The exhibition can be moved throughout the neighborhood to expand it in collaboration with the residents.
Opening: October 7, 2026, 4:30 p.m.
