arc en rêve architecture center presents in the white gallery the proto-habitat exhibition , manufacturing differently, from prototype to inhabiting a research project by Frédérique Barchelard and Flavien Menu at the Académie de France in Rome - Villa Médicis.
Frédérique Barchelard and Flavien Menu have forged expertise in the field of innovation and urban development through their French and European experiences. By working on demonstration projects in London and Paris, they have developed a culture of research and development while allying them with economic and financial realities.
Through their research on new ways of living and its modes of production, the architects lay the foundations for new models of sustainable housing that are part of ecological, societal and economic realities. They are creating a model demonstrating new French know-how that anticipates the living styles of tomorrow combining comfort, durability and accessibility. The creation of a mobile prototype pavilion is the first step in the development of new standards for the habitat of tomorrow, whether individual or collective.
A prototype produced with the actors of Nouvelle-Aquitaine - from the production of wood to the manufacture of the various elements and assembly - will be present in the public garden.
This project was carried out as part of the Rencontres Woodrise in Bordeaux, which take place from October 3 to 9, 2020
