The Alvar Aalto Museum's new basic exhibition opens Alvar Aalto's life's work for the public to explore. It takes the surface deeper into the architect's work and the design process, whether it is a single building, an urban center, a piece of furniture or a regional plan.

The red thread of the exhibition is Aalto's optimistic idea, according to which architecture and good design can solve the problems of human life and society, in Aalto's words "problems". The importance of Alvar and Aino Aalto in the history of Finnish design unfolds in parallel with architecture.

The exhibition relies on the power of the real and authentic – architectural drawings, miniature models and design exhibits. Architect Asmo Jaaksi (JKMM Arkkitehdit Oy) is responsible for the exhibition architecture and Tiina Ekosaari for the graphic design.
