New Neighbors

The collection of the TUM’s Museum of Architecture is constantly growing by accepting planning materials on individual projects but also complete archives.

In this exhibition, numerous important new acquisitions of the archive from recent years join selected objects from the old holdings as “new neighbors” and initiate an exciting dialogue. The great diversity of the collection becomes evident; in addition to classical, often virtuosic sketches and drawings are found alongside sets of CAD-generated plans, various positions in architectural photography, as well as competition, construction, and working models and realistic 3-D renderings.

The goal of the exhibition is to present the collection as a dynamic reservoir of knowledge from which valuable knowledge about our built environment can be gained.
