For the campsite in Karlsruhe-Durlach, a tiny house with a floor area of approx. 25 square meters for up to four people was developed and built as part of an impromptu design and several associated seminars. In close cooperation with the city of Karlsruhe, the impromptu project was announced as a student competition in the 2019/2020 winter semester under the title "ttt - tiny timber tourism". The shell of the house that won first prize was realized together with carpentry master students from the Friedrich-Weinbrenner-Gewerbeschule Freiburg as part of a seminar week in summer 2021 as a single-variety design-build project 1:1 on the Durlach campsite.

The shingle façade and the interior design of the house were planned and implemented in further workshops. In addition to being used by vacationers and campers, the house is made available to KIT students looking for accommodation for eight weeks a year for non-profit purposes.

As a special requirement for sustainable building, the design was largely realized in a “single-type construction”. This means that the house will be completely recyclable with zero generation of waste. Hardly any glue or environmentally unfriendly building materials are used. The nodes of the wooden supporting structure were developed as a prototype in cooperation with the professorship of supporting structures at KIT, which requires far fewer metal connections than conventional connections.
