Tafelzetting #6
The sixth exhibition in the Table setting series is dedicated to Saffir. The design studio includes the shared work of architects Ilse De Sutter and Mathilde Everaert, which they each supplement with their own work.
Sapphire
In addition to Saffir, De Sutter is active in the office of the Ghent architect Marie-José Van Hee. Everaert works in his own name as a graphic artist and tattoo artist. In its name after a gemstone lies the importance that Saffir attaches to beauty. For Ilse De Sutter and Mathilde Everaert, beauty is a fundamental value that they want to integrate into their projects.' Their collaboration involves an intense dialogue between spaces and images, fueled by complementary profiles. Saffir makes careful compositions of textures and materials, both in image and in reality.
Table setting
Table Setting is a series of exhibitions about young architects from Flanders and Brussels, produced by DE SINGEL and the Flemish Architecture Institute (VAi). Each edition, a young design practice presents itself on the square in front of DE SINGEL. They do this with a colorful set of tables that carry the exhibition and serve as street furniture, each time in a new arrangement.
