Architecture Award of the Province of Salzburg 2022

All entries submitted to the Architecture Prize of the Province of Salzburg 2022 will be shown in the exhibition conceived and implemented by Eva Zangerle, with a special focus on recycling and sustainable design.

The province of Salzburg awards a prize for the promotion and recognition in the field of architecture - this year for the 18th time. Out of a total of 31 projects submitted this year, 11 projects made it to the shortlist. The Architecture Prize of the Province of Salzburg 2022, the recognitions for domestic building culture and contemporary architecture, as well as a promotion scholarship are awarded.

For the exhibition, the idea has emerged - to create something new without consuming much that is new - both an incentive and a challenge. This thought leads the curator Eva Zangerle to the campsite of a large festival that recently took place near Salzburg and to the new main elements of the construction: tent poles that were left at the campsite by visitors of this large concert.
Prints for the display of the projects have to be made anew, there is no way around that. But so that these elements are not produced for the garbage, we give them a new life after the end of the exhibition. As bags and toiletry bags, made by Atelier Stillos, they will surely accompany their new owners for many, many years.
