DAM Award 2022

The 26 best buildings in/from Germany
Address
Lützner Strasse 91, 04177 Leipzig

Since 2007, the DAM Prize for Architecture in Germany has been awarded to outstanding buildings in Germany every year.

The prize is awarded by the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) in close cooperation with JUNG as the exclusive cooperation partner. For the DAM Prize for Architecture in Germany, the museum nominates 100 remarkable buildings or ensembles - since 2016 also taking into account proposals from the chambers of architects.
A jury of experts then selects the around 20 shortlisted buildings from among the nominees. In an intensive discussion, three to four buildings from these shortlisted buildings are finally determined for the final round.
At a second jury meeting, the finalists will be visited and the prize-winning project will be chosen. The DAM Prize 2022 goes to the ARGE SUMMACUMFEMMER BÜRO JULIANE GREB for the COOPERATIVE RESIDENCE »SAN RIEMO« in Munich. Located in the relatively young Munich trade fair town of Riem, »San Riemo« is highly innovative. The building cooperative KOOPERATIVE GROSSSTADT had organized its own competition for its first housing project, for which there were 62 (!) submissions. For cost reasons, the realization decision was made in favor of the originally second-placed design by ARGE SUMMACUMFEMMER BÜRO JULIANE GREB (Anne Femmer, Florian Summa, Juliane Greb, Petter Krag) The exhibition also shows the 25 other nominees on the shortlist in addition to the prize.
