The streetscape as archive

In the exhibition The streetscape as archive / Pretorialaan Letter Index at OMI, graphic designer Cengiz Mengüç presents his research on the visual transformation of Pretorialaan and Paul Krugerstraat in Rotterdam South.

Due to local policies, these vibrant streets radically changed over the last 15 years, from diverse facades tot standardised storefronts. Through visuals, typographic studies, sketches, and testimonials, Cengiz invites you to engage with these fading narratives and experience the living archive of a street amid urban transformation and gentrification.
