Sichten 27

The 27th edition of the annual exhibition of the Department of Architecture at TU Darmstadt brings architecture studies to life! From November 25th to 29th, 2024 in the Science Palace in downtown Darmstadt.

This year, the annual exhibition of the Department of Architecture at TU Darmstadt, "Sichten", presents a selection of the best student works created in the past year under the motto "Behind the Scenes". Since the first "Sichten" exhibition in 1997, the event organized by students has seen various venues, exhibition concepts, teams and sponsors.

"Sichten 27" will be presented from November 25th to 29th, 2024 in the Science Palace in downtown Darmstadt. Under the motto "Behind the Scenes", the exhibition brings the development that students go through during their studies to life.

Not only work from the Bachelor's and the Master's degree programs that follow it will be on display, but also seminar papers or impromptu projects, and thus everything that goes into a successful architecture degree.

The exhibition begins with a collection of graphically prepared personal impressions from the students, which provide an insight into everyday student life and the often months-long work processes that precede the results presented at the end of the semester.

The design process begins with the first sketches, first written notes and working models. We want to give them space in our exhibition to provide a realistic look behind the scenes of studying architecture.

In addition to the main designs, the course also includes seminar papers and impromptu projects. Each semester, a wide selection of tasks is offered in various formats, which are arranged in the exhibition according to the professors' areas of expertise. Therefore, not only the designs are shown, but also results from elective courses.
