Wed-Sun 10 am-6 pm

The Hungarian Museum of Architecture and Monument Protection Documentation Centre (HMA MPDC) opened its impressive exhibition venue in the modernist Rózsi Walter Villa in 2022. Beginning in 2023, in a venue close to the Villa, the exhibition space ‘Műhelytér’ is also awaiting its visitors. The pop-up venue is dedicated to collaborative, experimental projects rethinking the genre of architectural exhibitions. As the first of such projects the exhibition ‘IPARTERV unexplored – The heyday of a design company 1948-1970’, by students of the Design Curator specialization at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is on view.

The aim of the exhibition is to explore and present the works of the Industrial Building Design Company, IPARTERV, one of the most important professional workshops of post-World War II modern architecture. The exhibition slightly departs from the traditional historical approach and sheds light on social-cultural contexts, while also reflecting on its heritage and the status of contemporary reuse efforts amongst them.
