She redefined the architecture of the 21st century, capturing the imagination of the whole world.

Considered to be one of the most influential and visionary architects our time, MAXXI is hosting an exhibition devoted to Zaha Hadid and her work, with reference to the projects built in Italy, including the recently inaugurated Terminal Marittimo in Salerno, the Messner Mountain Museum in Plan de Corones, the almost complete City Lif project in Milan and the MAXXI building itself.
From pictorial sketches to three-dimensional models, from virtual renderings to inter-disciplinary studies for the use of new technologies, in a constant drive for pioneering design research and investigation, the exhibition sheds light on the intensive and enduring relationship between Zaha Hadid and Italy.
