Colour Strategies in Architecture

Address
11 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow G1 3NU Map
Hours
Mon–Sat 10:30 am–5 pm, Sun 12 am–5 pm

The Colour Strategies in architecture exhibition aims to present a range of exemplary strategies in the use of colour as a transformative and instrumental tool in architectural design, to inspire and inform. Immersive colour installations and abstract collages centre on work from six architectural practices in three cities; Berlin, Edinburgh and Zurich, drawing example from architectural icons and hidden gems from the 20th and 21st Centuries.

Each of these examples will represent different contextual situations and provide a clear analysis of the strategic use of colour by the architects, including a documentation of the colour palette in specific buildings. This will be presented through a series of hand-painted collages and immersive colour installations.
