The immersive exhibition created by Lateral North, Dualchas Architects and Soluis, and curated by the Scotland + Venice partnership – Scottish Government, Architecture and Design Scotland, Creative Scotland and the British Council Scotland, will be at The Lighthouse from 28 October – 9 November.

Prospect North  explores the relationship between people, culture, places, industries and economies and how ‘peripheral’ communities from the Northern Isles of Orkney to the industrial heartland of the central belt of Scotland are re-energising through grassroots actions and local endeavours. Their unique situations and background are revealed through their stories from the past, present and future. Following its run at the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale in May-June 2016, the exhibition was the key attraction at the Oban Festival of Architecture in August and was also on show at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland at the start of October.  After Glasgow it will travel to Dundee as part of the celebrations marking the end of the Festival of Architecture. It is presented as part of Architecture and Design Scotland’s Say Hello to Architecture, a broad programme of activities to celebrate the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and the Festival of Architecture in 2016.
