Nach dem Besuch kann man an dem selben Ort den Schlüssel wieder abgeben and sich in unser Gästebuch cor Ort eintragen. How do we want to live in the future? And how can apartments and houses adapt to a changing society? The exhibition “Living Options” showcases eight completed housing projects from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It focuses on three trends that are shaping the future of housing: community-oriented, productive, and adaptive living.

The exhibition is based on the research project and the publication of the same name by the Wüstenrot Foundation, in which Prof. Susanne Dürr and Dr. Gerd Kuhn examined new forms of living and analyzed them using twelve exemplary projects. The exhibition brings these findings to life through eight selected projects and demonstrates how architecture enables new forms of communal living, integrates living and working, and designs living spaces so that they can adapt to different life situations. Of particular interest to Mannheim: Two projects from our city—Franklin Village and WohnWerk on Spinelli—are also featured.
