Programming shared with the different European organizations that promote contemporary architecture focuses on the major architecture and urban planning debates in Europe, notably making use of the GAU:DI network (governance, architecture, urban planning, democracy and interaction) supported by the European Commission.
The purpose of the GAU:DI program is to create and operate a European network dedicated to the relationship between architecture, publics and decision-making, uniting history and contemporary creation. It is composed of 10 different actions, each led by a responsible institution that is a network member.

The Cité also carries out actions on an international scale through its teams and departments.
For example, the École de Chaillot conducts, in partnership with foreign organizations, courses created in the same spirit as its advanced diploma of architecture, in Damascus and Sofia. Cooperation projects are underway in Cambodia and Morocco. The school also organizes studios in Scotland, Romania and Egypt.
The Ifa, which regularly presents solo exhibitions devoted to internationally known figures, has included in its teams the Architecture Observatory of Contemporary China whose goal is to develop Franco-Chinese cooperation, supported by a network of Chinese and European researchers and professionals.
