After falling under the spell of Lanzarote, Vanessa Bosio, photographer, became interested in César Manrique, a multidisciplinary artist from the island who was entrusted with the artistic direction. In her first book: archinaturelle, released in December 2022 in self-publishing, she creates photographic diptychs, graphic couples, colorimetric associations that interpret the work of César Manrique.

For the photographer it is obvious César Manrique was inspired by the plants and minerals of his island to create an aesthetic perfectly in harmony with the nature he protects and defends.
architecture + nature = archnatural

The Archinaturelle exhibition extends this poetic journey between architecture and nature. The artist shows us this volcanic island through photographs that are both raw, graphic and dreamlike, in which nature becomes a work of art and architecture becomes organic.

Vanessa Bosio was born in the South of France. In 2005 she moved to Paris where she has lived ever since. At the age of 40, she changed her professional career and let herself be carried towards her passion, which had been put aside for a long time, photography. Self-taught, observer of everyday life, of small things, of detail, of light, of matter and of life. For 7 years, she has instinctively apprehended spaces by immersing herself in the genius of places to build collections of images that she classifies and reclassifies ad infinitum. Optimistic, she looks at the invisible and the ephemeral: site monitoring, know-how, backstage, urban art, forgotten landscapes, everyday skies. She explores and creates diptychs, poetic and contemplative.
Vanessa collaborates with: artists, architects, designers, graphic designers, brands.

Since 2019, the Revue française d’Architecture ‘A’A’ has given him carte blanche: in the eye of Vanessa Bosio. She brings her work closer to that of Luigi Ghirri or Vivian Maier.
Exhibition in partnership with Dahinden and Café A.
