The Dreyer Architecture Gallery
In a series of three individual exhibitions we will encounter three newly established architecture companies: lenschow & pihlmann, Arcgency and Studio Fountainhead. What they all have in common is their position as up and coming studios in the world of Danish architecture and the fact that they have all been awarded the Dreyer Foundation scholarship for enhancing the business potential of newly established architectural practices.
What they also have in common is the fact that they have all worked on the transformation/renovation of old buildings: a practice that has gained renewed interest in the architecture profession in recent years. Argency was responsible for the successful transformation of Absalon Church into a culture centre; lenschow & pihlmann are in the process of transforming an old farm in Jutland into student housing; and Studio Fountainhead renovated the house of the painter, Richard Winther.
Exhibition 1: lenschow & pihlmann, 12 October – 4 November 2017
Exhibition 2: Arcgency, 9 November – 2 December 2017
Exhibition 3: Studio Fountainhead, 7 December – 30 December 2017
The exhibition will provide visitors with a unique glimpse into the day-to-day activities and reality of the architecture practices, where there is a fast pace and a diversity of ideas, and where creativity and a sense of business go hand in hand.
The Dreyer Architecture Gallery is part of the Dreyer Foundation’s special focus on newly established architecture practices. The architecture practices featured in the Gallery have all attended a course of professionalisation workshops aimed at enhancing their business potential.
