What the hell is Central Finland? In the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Central Finland, we are on the trail of Central Finland from prehistory to the year 2000. The exhibition offers a variety of things to see, listen to and do for all ages.

In the exhibition, for example, you can wonder and admire the changing central Finnish living environment, listen to memories and stories from the past, watch movies, read a cartoon about the founding stages of Jyväskylä, feel the atmosphere of a smoke sauna, sports or rap. And how would it feel to try the magic of 1960s dance in the atmosphere of Jukebox? Children can play old-time games, visit the market, jump a box or try out how to make their own rock painting using modern technology. And what does a trip to Jyväskylä look like over a hundred years ago, guided by an Alvar boy? The exhibition also features two large miniature models of the city of Jyväskylä from different eras.
