Collecting, Talking, Deciding
When we talk about democracy and democratic processes, it is often about how a diverse group discusses and makes decisions together. How and where do you bring as many opinions as possible to one table? Does this happen in the polling station, in the Federal Palace, in a Roman forum or in a Greek agora? Are there places and spaces that encourage or hinder dialogue and decision-making? Can democracy be shaped with structural measures? How do we structure our digital and analogue political spaces? The Polit-Forum Bern and Kornhausforum Bern illuminate the topic from different angles and with their own focus. In the joint exhibition, positions and artistic projects on analogue and digital public places will be shown that explore these questions.
The exhibition "Collecting, Talking, Deciding - Places of Democracy" concludes a special kind of co-working: During the conversion of the Kafeturm in spring 2022, the Polit-Forum Bern is a guest in the Kornhausforum Bern. The exhibition takes place in the gallery of the Kornhausforum on the 2nd floor and is accompanied by joint events.
