Things are happening in town — move!

Sport & Architektur für morgen
Address
Am Weissenhof 30, 70191 Stuttgart
Hours
Tue–Fri 2–6 pm, Sat+Sun 12 am–6 pm

The exhibition asks the question about the place for sport in the city of tomorrow. It was developed in 2023 by the Le Corbusier Firminy site in collaboration with the DREAM architectural firm (Paris and Nice).

The upcoming German-French sports summer - first the European Football Championships in Germany and then the Olympic Games in Paris - offers a unique opportunity to reflect on our lifestyles and the way we want to live in the world of today and tomorrow.

The Institut français Stuttgart and its partner institutions, the Architekturgalerie am Weißenhof, the IBA'27 Friends, the BDA Baden-Württemberg and the Weissenhofmuseum in Haus Le Corbusier, invite you to the exhibition “Ça bouge en ville – Move!” in the form of a Explore the course.

The course begins in the Weissenhof workshop in Mies van der Rohe's house and is dedicated to the connection between Le Corbusier's architecture and sporting practice. The second stop is the Architecture Gallery. There are questions about spatial concepts and
Sustainable sports facilities in focus. Visitors should plan around 50 minutes (3.6 km) for their walk from the north of Stuttgart to the city center to the next station, the BDA Wechselraum (near the main train station), where future concepts are discussed that deal with the conditions and requirements for Dealing with sport in urban areas. Via an intermediate station, the showcase of the IBA'27 room at Calwerstraße 5 / corner of Kienestrasse, where exercise options in Stuttgart are shown, we go to the last station, the Institut français, at Berliner Platz. Everything here revolves around e-sports.
