Horizons
Even before Ernst Bloch described architecture as an attempt to create a human homeland, architecture and the sense of home were inextricably linked. Homeland, therefore, does not exist from the beginning, but must be continually recreated through social and individual efforts. For homeland is a dynamic resource that gains value when its complexity is grasped and utilized for the challenges of the present. If homeland is not understood as an exclusive privilege, the past can become a guide for dealing with the existing.
Homeland can be used as a cultural orientation and helps shape coexistence as a respectful coexistence. Conflicts and irritations are part of the reality of homeland. Architecture becomes an exploratory construction in which spaces, cities, and neighborhoods evolve in a dynamic process, and global reality becomes a cultural enrichment. And new horizons open up.
