OK PLAN ARCHITECTS was founded in 1999 by architect Luděk Rýzner. During its fifteen-year existence the firm has gained a strong position among architecture firms in the Czech Republic. The ‘15’ exhibition maps the studio’s prominent commissions over the years, with a special emphasis on single family houses. OK PLAN ARCHITECTS has received numerous awards from professional critics in the Czech Republic, and the firm’s residential projects in particular appear regularly in a variety of publications.

The OK PLAN ARCHITECTS 2009-2014 publication was released in 2014 on the occasion of the studio’s fifteenth anniversary. Along with the previous publication of OK PLAN ARCHITECTS 1999-2009, and a short film from 2004, these materials offer a comprehensive overview of all of the studio’s buildings.

The exhibition created in conjunction with the release of the latest publication will present the studio and its work to architecture enthusiasts in New York City.

The OK PLAN ARCHITECTS '15 exhibition provides an introduction to the studio and a summary of its best and most important buildings. The exhibition also describes a number of visions and the show likewise presents the role of the architect in the process of building housing in the Czech Republic. The buildings are presented on panels in the form of photos, drawings, short texts, and short films made with the investors, who speak about their experience working with the studio.

Testifying to efforts to provide as broad a view as possible of OK PLAN is the inclusion of a stylized architect’s workplace in the exhibition. As the main representative and face of the studio, Luděk Rýzner will be on hand daily during the duration of the exhibition from 6:00 -7:00 PM to answer visitors’ questions in person.

This show will take place during the exhibition Prague Functionalism: Tradition and Contemporary Echoes, which focuses on world-renowned Functionalist architecture. The work of OK PLAN ARCHITECTS was chosen as one of the ‘echoes’ presented in the exhibition.
