In cooperation with Architects4Future, HouseEurope!, and the BDA (German Association of German Builders), the DAZ presents the special exhibition FIX IT! – RENOVATION INSTEAD OF DEMOLITION as part of the accompanying program to the current exhibition THE DEMOLITION QUESTION & POWER TO RENOVATION.

Renovation projects from across Germany are on display, highlighting the potential of renovation and conversion. These projects are part of the BDA's Renovation Atlas, which has been successfully collecting renovation projects since 2023. The exhibition is complemented by a renovation workshop and field reports from Architects4Future Berlin, as well as (renovation) building materials made from renewable materials. The exhibition supports the appeal of the European Citizens' Initiative HouseEurope!, which is seeking one million supporters by January 2026. In favor of more ecologically and socially effective construction practices, the initiative calls for renovation and modernization to be prioritized over demolition and new construction. Feel free to vote for the EU Citizens' Initiative in the booth at the DAZ.
