Process Architecture

A Photographic Research of Global Building Sites
Address
Tempelhofer Ufer 11, 10963 Berlin

Architectural photographer HGEsch travels through construction sites like a tourist to undiscovered areas of the world. For him, a construction site is always a promise: it embodies the physical transition from concept to completed structure. His camera accompanies this transition.
The images that emerge show the intermediate moments of the architecture. They capture details and structures that will later disappear or be forgotten in the building – reinforcements, scaffolding, cranes.

With his exhibition Process Architecture, HG Esch opens our eyes to the process nature of building – and the beauty that lies within.
HGEsch works as an architectural photographer for architectural offices worldwide. In addition to commissioned work, an independent work was created. His series Megacities, City and Structure or Cities Unknown, which deal with Western and Asian megacities, have been exhibited and published many times internationally.
