From August 27 to September 25, 2026, the traveling exhibition “Architectural Culture Meets Climate Protection – Best Practices” will be on display at the historic city hall in Stade. It showcases projects that exemplify how architectural quality and climate protection can be combined.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, August 27, with a public event. Following a welcome address by First Deputy Mayor Lars Kolk, there will be an introduction to the exhibition followed by a guided tour. Afterward, architect and urban planner Kerstin Oesterling from the firm M O R PartG mbB – Architecture and Urban Planning will present a project featured in the exhibition: the conversion of a former savings bank into a multifunctional building with a daycare center. The event will conclude with an opportunity for discussion over water and sparkling wine.

The exhibition will also be accompanied by a panel discussion on the mayoral election on September 24.
