The touring exhibition „Archizines“ features architecture magazines, fanzines and journals from over twenty countries that provide an alternative to the established architectural press.

Around the world, in recent years many experimental publications have emerged that present an important format for architectural criticism, commentary, and research. With their exchanges on our life worlds and life models, they represent an important contribution to global architectural discourse.
Many of these publications are edited and published by architects, artists, or students. They all share an interest in documenting our lived environment on paper and interrogating it. An important role is played by the use of new media, typography, and artistic engagement.
The project “Archizines” is conceived as a growing archive of the best independent architectural publications since 2000. The selection now presented at ETH Zurich makes it possible to get to know 90 publications from over twenty different countries. This itinerant library is exhibited on the stage structure of Studio Tom Emerson and shows how intensely and passionately architecture is discussed today.
