Eine Reise durch Natur und Architektur
Liane Remmler's creativity and commitment went far beyond her professional work as an architect. The exhibition "Rays of hope. A journey through nature and architecture" from October 22, 2024 to January 6, 2025 in the House of Architects, Goetheallee 37 in Dresden, impressively shows her passion for photography. Her other passions - travel, architecture and building culture - also come into their own.
As a self-employed architect, Liane Remmler was known for her energy, creativity and drive. But she also devoted herself to voluntary work outside of her profession. As Vice President of the Chamber of Architects in Saxony and co-founder of the Saxon Architects Foundation, she worked tirelessly on numerous projects until the end of her life.
Her work was characterized by remarkable energy and a strong urge to always create and promote new things. She always found time for her family, her diverse interests and, above all, for photography - a passion that ran like a thread through her life.
The exhibition "Rays of hope" presents a selection of Liane Remmler's photographs that reveal her deep connection with nature and architecture. Her nature photographs capture fleeting, often magical moments in landscapes, while her architectural photographs showcase the play of nature, light, shapes and structures. She succeeds in depicting more than just the obvious: her pictures convey the emotions and enthusiasm she felt while taking photographs. She managed to capture moods.
Even after her death in 2018, the traces she left behind are still visible. This year, Liane Remmler would have celebrated her 60th birthday. The exhibition in the House of Architects is not only a tribute to her work, but also a reminder of her fulfilled life and its lasting impact.
