HDA on Tour - Salzburg
Impressive cubatures, multi-faceted facades or sophisticated details – the works of the Graz School still shape the image of the city today. However, many of these buildings are threatened with demolition. In the exhibition, students from the Institute for Architectural Theory, Art and Cultural Studies at Graz University of Technology dedicate themselves to this important architectural heritage.
The exhibition aims to stimulate discourse about the treatment of buildings from this era. When is a building worth preserving? How important is it to maintain these projects as “representatives” for the internationally renowned Graz School in Styria? How can such buildings be energetically upgraded and repurposed?
Opening on Thursday, October 9th at 6:30 p.m.
Sprecher*innen: Beate Engelhorn, artistic director / House of Architecture Graz, Anselm Wagner, head of the Institute for Architectural Theory, Art and Cultural Studies / TU Graz, Margareth Otti-Wagner, Joanneum Universal Museum, Elisabeth Schabelreiter, ZT Chamber Upper Austria/Sbg
