This installation is a meditation on the functions of architecture and its relationship to reality.

This collection of 100 projects that Tarik and Linna have developed with their studio Oualalou+Choi over the past 20 years blurs scales, programs, and situations. This library of projects is a compression of time and geography that addresses questions about architecture's relationship to nature and matter, about the need to imagine new organizations for our communities, and about the place that our bodies can still inhabit.

Built - Projects which have been constructed or are in the process of being constructed, places where thought has been embodied in matter.

Unbuilt - Projects that are explorations of constructible and desirable architectures, discontinuous or interrupted trajectories constituting the ‘buildable unbuilt.’

Unbuildable - Encompassing speculative thinking, these projects of research and teaching are freed from the constraints of construction, allowing us to challenge the limits of the discipline and to nourish our imaginations.
