Founded by Brigitte Métra in 2003, Métra + Associés creates an architecture that dialogues with its environment and expresses the life it houses.
« Everything in these buildings pulses, breathes, resonates, moves and speaks of life. »
The materials used are imbued with dreams and poetry; hence, architecture, with all its complexity and technicality, becomes a vector for emotions on the scale of a city, a group of users, or is at the heart of the emotion felt by a music lover.
As a result, the agency has acquired a reputation for innovative architecture, expressed through a wide array of mixed, complex and highly technical projects, including numerous concert halls, theatres and performance spaces.
The new building in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, consisting of an RATP bus depot and 30,000 m² of office space, to which will be added in 2017 a junior high school and a crèche, and the Concert Hall for the Paris Philharmonic (designed and built in association with Ateliers Jean Nouvel) will be part of the exhibition. Métra + Associés review the major projects that marked the life of the office these last years.
