The Best Wooden Buildings in the Country

The traveling exhibition “The Best Wooden Buildings in the Country” for the Upper Austrian Wood Construction Award 2025 focuses on modern wood construction and highlights its ecological, technical, and economic advantages.

The projects honored with the Timber Construction Award and presented in the exhibition are complemented by current issues relating to the entire timber value chain, including the effects of climate change on forestry and forest management, and the opportunities offered by digitalization for value-added processes in the skilled trades.

In addition to facts and best practice projects, the exhibition deliberately focuses on emotional appeal: experts and “colorful characters” from the forestry and timber industry dispel myths and convey enthusiasm for wood as a building material.
