The Silo Tender

In 2017, a competition was organised for the reuse of the three silos of the former Oost sewage treatment plant on Zeeburgereiland. In February 2018, it was announced that the Three Kings had emerged as a winning plan. But what precedes the determination of the winning design? And what other plans did it include? That and more can be seen this summer in the Vide Exposition The Silo Tender at the Amsterdam Architecture Centre.

Between March 2017 and January 2018, the Municipality of Amsterdam organised a selection of quality for the three silos located in the Sportheldenbuurt, the first residential area of Zeeburgereiland. In the end, three entries went through to the final assessment. These plans are now on display in the exhibition on our first floor over the course of the summer. You can also admire a beautiful scale model of the winning plan.
