Stadtlabor

The Statdlabor is a temporary, publicly accessible research project of the Nordico City Museum Linz, a place for current engagement with the present and future of our city: How should Linz shape itself in the future? What changes do we want? And what can we do about it?

When working on these questions, we are inspired by ideas that already exist today: projects from pioneers of change that bring cities and society together in new ways.

Using five different themed rooms, these selected prototypes offer insights into the areas of living, local supply, work, public spaces and the city museum itself. An open prototype workshop offers space for additional contributions from visitors.

We cordially invite everyone to take part in this open-ended collaborative experiment as city laboratory assistants, to explore the various prototypes, to question them critically and to continue working on them through research.
