On the occasion of European Heritage Days 2022, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal offers an exceptional weekend to (re)discover the history, current events and future of the forecourt of Notre Dame. Presentation of the 4 proposals for the redevelopment of the surroundings of the cathedral, meeting with the winning team of the international consultation, educational workshops and game trails, guided tours of the exhibition and architectural treasure hunt along the Seine.

In parallel with the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, the City is undertaking a reflection to reimagine the surroundings of the cathedral. The challenge is twofold: to connect the monument to the city, to the Seine, to make it possible to welcome with dignity the 12 million visitors who go there each year; provide a setting for the monument commensurate with the passion it arouses. The fire and the wave of emotion it aroused gave the extent. To obtain the best possible response, an international competition was launched in the form of a “competitive dialogue”.

To find out all about the history of this unique place and the redevelopment projects proposed as part of the international competition launched by the City of Paris, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal offers free guided tours of the exhibition "Parvis de Notre -Dame" by a mediator, a student at the National School of Architecture.
