The exhibition illuminates the multifaceted history of urban green spaces in Antwerp. From the first city parks in the 19th century to today's climate protection efforts, the city reflects global shifts in power relations, space, and ecology.

It tells the city's untold stories. Contemporary artists and architects challenge conventional notions of urban nature with a view to an inclusive and resilient future.

Public green spaces are essential for urban life. They promote quality of life and health, strengthen cities in the fight against climate change, and foster social connections. But they are not neutral: they evolve alongside political, economic, and social agendas. Green spaces in cities harbor tensions—between gentrification and accessibility, privatization and the commons, biodiversity and recreation, safety and exclusion, environmental justice and exploitation.
